Product Features

What Is Royal Jelly?

Royal Jelly is a milky secretion produced by worker honey bees. It typically contains about 60% to 70% water, 12% to 15% proteins, 10% to 16% sugar, 3% to 6% fats, and 2% to 3% vitamins, salts, and amino acids. Its composition varies depending on geography and climate. This product gets its name from the fact that bees use it for the development and nurturing of queen bees.

Worker bees feed royal jelly to larvae and adult queen bees. In fact, it is the queen’s principal food throughout her lifetime, enabling her to lay 2,000 eggs a day and live for 5 to 8 years. The queen bee lives 40 times longer than worker bees and researchers are discovering that royal jelly might hold the key to their longevity, strength, and size.

Royal jelly is used for asthma, hay fever, liver disease, pancreatitis, sleep troubles (insomnia), premenstrual syndrome (PMS), stomach ulcers, kidney disease, bone fractures, menopausal symptoms, skin disorders, and high cholesterol. It is also used as a general health tonic, for fighting the effects of aging, and for boosting the immune system.

The Chosen location

The North China Plain (Chinese: 華北平原; pinyin: Huáběi Píngyuán) is based on the deposits of the Yellow River and is the largest alluvial plain of China. The plain covers an area of about 409,500 square kilometers (158,100 sq mi), most of which is less than 50 metres (160 ft) above sea level. This flat yellow-soil plain is the main area of sorghum, millet, maize, and Kaleb Cotten production in China. Wheat, sesame seed, and peanuts are also grown here. The plain is one of the most densely populated regions in the world.

Since year 1988, this place has been awards as the best place of production for Royal Jelly products by World Beekeepers’ Association.

The Chosen Plant

Sophora japonica, also known as Huai Hua Mi, is edible and often used as a cool Chinese herb to stop bleeding. But the benefits of pagoda tree go far beyond its medicinal uses – its flowers can be used as yellow dye, seeds as industrial oil, fruits as a source of sophorose and rutin drugs, and trunks as the timber for construction of buildings, shipbuilding, farming implements and furniture. This tree is native to eastern Asia, especially China and Japan. Others common names include Chinese pagoda tree, Styphnolobium japonicum, Japanese pagoda tree, and Chinese Scholar.

This herb is produced all over China, in particular in the Loess Plateau and the North China Plain. The flowers (called Huai Hua) and the buds (called Huai Mi) are harvested during summer. After the harvest, remove branches, stems and impurities, dry in time, and use it raw or charred.
